From food to energy to housing, Labour's approach has been to make everything more expensive, often at the expense of working families. Here's how:
Food Prices: A 500g packet of mince, a staple in many British households, now costs £5, a 40% increase from £3.50 last year. This surge in prices is due to Labour's war on farmers, leading to record-high farm closures and a decrease in the number of cows. Farmers and retailers are also burdened by Labour's minimum wage hike, jobs tax, and a new net zero grocery tax, resulting in an average family paying £300 more for the same food.
Energy Bills: The Prime Minister's promise to cut energy bills by £150 in April has fallen short. Despite gas prices dropping, energy bills are now £200 higher than during the election. This is due to Labour's net zero spending, which includes more taxes, expensive wind farms, and socialist redistribution policies.
Housing: Rents increased by £700 for the average renter last year due to a shortage of rental homes. Labour's new housing taxes are expected to lead to a steady long-term rise in rents, putting a strain on working families.
