The 2026-27 UEFA Nations League group stage draw has been announced, with England facing Spain, Croatia, and the Czech Republic, and Wales in the same group as the defending champions Portugal. Both England and Wales secured promotion to League A in the 2024-2025 competition, with England also qualifying for the knockout stages alongside Denmark and Norway. Scotland, competing in their first World Cup since 1998, will face Switzerland, Slovenia, and North Macedonia in League B. Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and other teams are also assigned to their respective groups in League B and C. The competition will take place between September 2026 and June 2027, with each team playing every other team in their group twice. The top two teams from each group in League A advance to the quarter-finals, followed by semi-finals and the final in June. Group winners in Leagues B, C, and D are promoted, while bottom-placed teams in Leagues A, B, and C are relegated. Second-placed teams in Leagues B, C, and D face play-offs against third-placed teams in Leagues A, B, and C. The best-performing teams not directly qualifying for the 2028 European Championships will also enter play-offs for the final spots.
